SERVICE UPGRADES & ADDITIONS
Service upgrades include the removal and replacement of your main circuit panel to increase amperage or repair a faulty panel.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Decades ago the most common amperage for residential circuit panels was 100 amps. Today, 200 amperes is more common, however unless your home was built within the past 10-15 years, it’s likely the home features an older 100 amp panel. It’s not typically dangerous but there are many reasons why you may want or need a service upgrade to increase your circuit panel amperage.
Javier fixed an electrical problem for us in our family room. He came on short notice and was very knowledgeable and informative. The price was more than reasonable. We certainly will use this company again. Thanks again Javier.

REASONS FOR A SERVICE UPGRAGE
Overloaded Main Panel
The most common reason for a service upgrade to the main panel is an overloaded 100 amp panel, or the potential to overload when entertaining the notion of a new HVAC system, appliance, or subpanel addition for a shed or workshop.
New Machinery
If you’re looking at purchasing a new HVAC system, on demand water heater, certain appliances, or tools, your current circuit panel’s may not be able to provide enough amperage to power everything.
Addition of pool or spa
Pools or spas require a hefty amount power to run the pump. This typically requires a sub panel and may require a service upgrade. Sometimes the the addition of a sub panel is all that’s needed.
Addition of workshop
Depending on the tools you plan on using in your workshop, it’s likely you’ll need either a service upgrade or a sub panel. Sometimes you’ll need both.
